Lyn Vert (aka Caitlyn Kilgore) has been a movement enthusiast all her life, which means she was a handful for her parents - thanks mom and dad!  After somehow surviving her desire to rollskate down her backyard slide, she has allowed herself an enormous movement vocabulary.  Her movement explorations have taken her from gymnastics to softball to waterpolo and lacrosse to yoga, dance, and ballet to circus arts.  Her circus training, though present all her life, really started in January 2010.  After graduating from UC Berkeley, Lyn began training at the Athletic Playground.  She was hooked immediately, training nearly everyday.

 

Since then Lyn has been training and teaching circus arts in the Bay Area and elsewhere for over 13 years.  Her performance style is influenced by her eclectic movement background and musical inspirations.  Her teaching style is based on her facilitation experience and commitment to creating success with her students.

 

She currently teaches at the Athletic Playground in Emeryville and at Kinetic Arts Center in West Oakland.  She has been found teaching and training as far from home as Santa Fe, NM with WiseFool NM; Cabarete, Domincan Republic with Sweet Retreats; and in  Johannesburg, South Africa with Sky Dance Studio.
